Our next NDTA Monthly Meeting will be Thursday, June 6th at the Piccadilly Restaurant, 2449 Godby Road, College Park, GA.  (click here for directions) We had our last three meetings the past several months at the Piccadilly Restaurant and we think everyone who attended agreed the food, service and meeting room surpassed our expectations. NDTA members attending the meeting will be asked to contribute a $3.00 cover charge in addition to the cost of their meal to help pay for the wait staff and other incidental charges incurred.  This charge may be waived if we receive corporate sponsorship of the meeting.  Please plan on arriving around 11:30 am to allow time for networking and eating prior to our guest speaker’s presentation .

• Welcome to the Atlanta Chapter of the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA).  The NDTA is an educational, non-profit, global organization providing a common forum to discuss and endorse programs that promote transportation preparedness for economic and security needs.  The organization serves as a link between government and industry to obtain the needed cooperation and support necessary for strong, efficient, and effective transportation systems supporting our military.  NDTA Chapters around the world are involved in Emergency Planning that assists local, state, and federal governments in planning transportation support for domestic emergencies.

• Chapters are also involved in Study Projects made up of teams of transport industry executives and government/military personnel that produce findings on major transport problems.  The NDTA sponsors an annual Transportation and Logistics Forum and Exposition held in different metropolitan areas of the United States.  These well attended meetings serve as a forum for discussing international transportation and logistics issues.  Nearly 100 major international and domestic corporations regularly exhibit at the annual forums.  The NDTA also has five national committees studying and reporting on Military Airlift, Military Sealift, Surface Transportation, Passenger Travel Services, and Business Practices.

• The Atlanta Chapter has over 250 members across the spectrum of transportation and logistics.  Chapter members are active, reserve, and retired military, civilian employees of the military services, and members of industry.  The Chapter is actively involved in monthly programs, special projects, and also sponsors a scholarship program that awards thousands of dollars annually.  Please visit our pages and links.
